It started in 2001 as a project idea in the studio of the prague born producer Stani Vana, then developed first into a trio and later into a seven member live ensemble. By now !DelaDap turns more and more into a creativity platform for Gypsy rooted, central-european world sound.
About Gypsies, Roses and Angels
!DelaDap's debut album "Cigani, Ruzsa + Angelo" continues their musical trespasses beyond borders again. Thereby the musicians do not only animate old gispy music traditions, but use these for musical advancement: jazz, pop in the best sense, Eastern European sounds, traditionals, fine grooves: !DelaDap combine these playfully with modern, electronic sounds.
This versatility shows up not only in the variety of beautiful songs, but also when e.g. drums are replaced by a metal can — the traditional Roma percussion instrument. One sound replaces the other, one idea overlaps another one — "Cigani, Ruzsa + Angelo", the debut album of !DelaDap sends us on a marvellous journey into the world of modern, urban Roma, which refers proudly and self-confidently to their roots.
