This record is a journey into the greatest of all destinations : freedom. Between melodies and breaks, guitarist Fred Frith, double bass player Joëlle Léandre and violonist (but also guitarist) Jonathan Segel are calling to freedom; freedom to surrounder to the peripherical functions of the instrument (rubbed, scraped wood, sharp bow, prepared strings), freedom of embraces (the soft excesses of the interlaced strings of Smell My Halo), freedom to tell us a story while dislocating it and most of all, freedom to exist without the weight of the codes, the functions and of what will be said.
