This collection has been put together by some Francophiles in Munich, who have selected tracks that are popular in their club. Amongst the retro action here are some Yé-yé girls, keeping the company of some easy listening, jazz, early electronica and some modern interpretations of the sixties style. The collection is nicely packaged on CD or double vinyl (with bonus tracks) with full sleeve notes. Definitely one to set the mood for your lounge-core soirées.
To criticize the selection that is Cover versions rather drögen at the second part. Working on of angloamerikanischer hits were natural far in the 60's-years in France, as common in Germany also. But one must really the French versions of “It's emergency Unusal” (Tom Jones), which Easy Listening classical authors “Music ton Watch Girls By” (Ray Coniff) heard or the Hippie Song “Let The Sunshine in”/? Now well, the not so exciting TRACKs constitute the minority — to that extent also volume 2 for a risers is recommended urgently. With “dad Twist” of Laurent Lombard (not so mad) and the very pretty Popstück “C'est mA vie” residents of Munich of the Duos Phonoboy are even two contemporary TRACKs on the second CD, which breathe however also both Retroluft.
