Пользователям с крайне жесткими требованиями и запросам предлагается самим скачать и установить все необходимое ПО.
Данная новость имеет даже некоторое статистическое происхождение. Я хочу посмотреть реакцию окружающих пользователей, каким образом лучше помещать в док новости.
Данный мануал на "оригинале" English — язык — с оригинальными ссылками. И плиз в комментах отпишитесь сколько трафика вы "убили" на подбор дров для своей системы.

Downgrading Hewlett Packard Pavilion dv9810eg (with AMD Turion 64 CPU and Nvidia chipset) series Notebook from VistaPremium to XPPro

Hewlett Packard are not supporting Windows XP any longer, if you buy a new Hewlett Packard pre-installed with Vista Home Premium and you want XP back you cannot get the XP drivers from HP Support, however there are workarounds. I have just downgraded a DV9810eg notebook makeing this steps:

0. Fresh WinXP installation and BIOS downgrade

First Install WinXP and downgrade or update yours BIOS to ver F.28 (necessary for IEEE 1394 controller to work on WinXP).On newer Bios ver. (F.2A and F.2C) IEEE 1394 controler doesn't work on XP platform (error code 10 apires)

1. Chipset Drivers

First install Nvidia Chipset Drivers (14.10_nforce_630a_winxp_english_whql.exe from http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_630a_winxp2k_14.10.html) and reboot. If offered, choose the option to install ONLY the drivers.
If there is a problem with ethernet (wired) then install allso this chipset driver (12.15_nforce_520_winxp32_english_whql.exe from here http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_520_winxp2k_12.15.html ) and reboot.

2. Nvidia Video Drivers

Next install Video Drivers ( Video_xp-8400m.zip from here http://members.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?driverid=1203448 ) or this one (Video_15655.exe from here http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/GRAPHICS-BOARD/NVIDIA/NVIDIA-32bit-ForceWare-GeForce-Go-15655.shtml). Install one of them doesn't matter both work and reboot.

3. Wireless Drivers

Next install the Wireless drivers ( WiFi_Broadcom_winXP_AR5007_XP.zip from here — http://www.mediafire.com/?cfdzj3eaizt ).Select DRIVERS ONLY when installing and reboot after install.The wireless switch will always appear to be off ie amber, wireless will work regardless.There is a solution for this also. Search through the registry and find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control/Class/{4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002bE10318}/0021/Ndi/Interfaces
Now this will most likely vary on your machine, but the best thing to do is a search under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control for "Atheros" and that should pretty quickly lead you to the right section.
In the "root" of the 0021 entry (where is "Atheros") add this as string values (or Binary or DWORD doesn’t matter).

And there is a blue light when WiFi is on and orange when it is off.

4. Windows Updates

Next go to Windows Updates and install all the main updates or instal WIN XP SP3 from here http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Windows-XP-SP3-Download-90001.html and reboot.

5. Audio Drivers

This one is tricky its a 2 stage process. First you need Microsoft UAA ( Universal Audio Architecture ) drivers from here http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-47284-1&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=3224049&os=228&lang=en

Download and Install

Next you need Conextant Audio Drivers (ConexantHDAudio+221_XP.zip from here http://www.mediafire.com/?dg0cmmkm4y4 )

You cannot install this the normal way you have to use Device Manager as follows:-

Unzip to a folder of your choice — remember where — then go to Start > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager.
Look down the list for "Audio Device on HD Bus", right click on it and select "update driver"
When it asks to go on line to find a driver — NO
Select "Install from a list or specific location"
and
"Don't search I will choose the driver to install"
In the list of common hardware types, scroll down and select Sound, Video, and Game controllers.
Remove the check from "Show Compatible Hardware" and click on "Have Disk".
Next...browse to the Driver Folder you unzipped and click on "WiSVHe5.inf" file. Ignore XPs complaint and select "Install Anyway"

Reboot.

You should now have sound.

6. Modem Drivers

I used this this one driver (HDAUDIO Soft Data Fax Modem with SmartCP_sp33742.exe from here http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-43284-1&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=3224049&os=228&lang=en )

If there is a problem for automatic instalation force it like for audio drivers

7. Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 and InterVideo WinDVD Player

If You didn't install through Windows Upadete Microsoft .NET Framework Version 2.0 Redistributable Package (x86).exe install it from here http://tinyurl.com/758p8 and allso install InterVideo WinDVD Player_sp36665.exe from here http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=3375953&swItem=ob-55554-1&prodNameId=3375995&swEnvOID=1093&swLang=8&taskId=135&mode=4&idx=1

8. Quick Launch Buttons

Install (HP Quick Launch_sp38171.exe from here ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp38001-38500/sp38171.exe )

9. Ricoh Card Reader

Ricoh Card Reader drivers for Vista allso works for XP drivers (Ricoh 5-1 Card Reader Driver_sp37726.exe from here http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-55777-1&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=3696304&os=2093&lang=en ).

10. WebCam

WebCam drivers for HP DV9000Z work allso for dv9810eg.Install drivers (HP 1.3 MegaPixel (MP) Webcam Software Drivers_sp35414.exe from here http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-48406-1&lc=en&cc=us&lang=en&os=228&dlc=en&product=3224049 )

11. Quick Play

Install QPW.zip it from here http://www.mediafire.com/?dz3xk233dz1

QuickPlay requires a Reg edit to install:

START then RUN and type "regedit" into the box (without quotes)

Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\QPFlag
(you may have to create the QPFlag directory)
Right click and select New->Dword
For the Value Name type "QPFlag"(no quotes) and Value data should be "3" (no quotes)
Click OK
again right click, select New->String
Value name is "@=" (no quotes)

12. All others

Vista/XP drivers/software for dv9810eg or XP drivers/software for HP DV9000Z can be used for other drivers/software such as LightScribe Host Software, AMD Update ,Synaptics Touchpad,HP Wireless Assistant,Cyberlink YouCam Software,etc
