The demos by Emperor still sound Death Metallish, but on the eponymous EP they developed a new sound which is close to typical Black Metal sound as we know it now.

Black Metal with a certain folkish touch. Quite melodic.

Compared to the EP, this release is even more folkish, some songs basically sound like folk music played with distorted guitars .

These two tracks were recorded for a compilation called CBR Projections Of A Stained Mind. Features classic line up of Dead, Euronymous, Necrobutcher and Hellhammer. This is how DMDS was supposed to sound. The single features best Dead's vocal performance.
